I remember seeing this on SoundCloud a while back.

I love this one so much. Especially the synth that comes in at 1:50. That one just killed me.

Also: not as repetitive as you think it is. That's how trance is supposed to be, lol.

Awesomebeansauce.

Thanks :).

Like your style a lot.

The chaos is entrancing. 0.0 But not enough chaos IMO.

Just to toss ideas out there, on top of your current bass line, you could have another bass line that's more pronounced and works with the melody. (I think that's called a Harmony in music theory, but w/e) Anyways, just an idea.

ive learned alot more about bass since ive maid this i needa make the bass stronger but its hard to keep the kicks strong when theres alot of bass?
harmony is basicly when there not the same not but they sound good cos they make a new note . ie if you play to sounds 1 two steps higher it sounds good together. but i havent touched this song cos theres so much layers its really confuseing XD

I don't like it.

I freaking love it!!!

Beat is like pressing the power button on the groove-o-matic 9001.

Sounds are A+.

I could go on for eternity with this. Bottom line: iz grooveh.

Looking forward to your next song. :)

Nicely done.

Transitions could use some work, though.

I like the melody progression and that LFO is just nasty. :D

all toxic baby! so many melody's! make it hard to transition XD
i think theres at the end 4 lfos and 4 lead synths + bass + sweeps and tuns
of filters haha but ill work on it! :D

Love this song.

I love everything about this song.

Just one thing:
The synths seem a bit quiet. Maybe turn up the volume on them a bit?

Also, it sounds like it would fit nicely into a Sonic game or something. >_>

Cool

Loving the spooky vibe in the beginning. (Hipass filters ftw)

Sorry if this sounds rather useless, but something about the drums before the drop is kinda weird to me. I can't really tell what though.

Either way. Nice track, mind if I ask what you use to make your synths?

joshlul responds:

The low frequency cutoff on them is down, I am ultra sensitive to high pitched noises so I have a tendency to over-compensate for harsh mids.

Did you change your review? hahaha, I use massive and synthesize everything from scratch.

Yup.

It's been a while since I heard a song I liked right from the start.

Splendid work with this.

Not impressed.

This is a nice remix, you got your own style and applied it to an amazing song. I think you could have done better with it, though.

I'm going to be brutally honest. As it is now, I'd rather listen to the original song.

One thing you could do to improve upon it is to go a little crazy with it. Step out of your comfort zone a bit. Make it dirty, filthy, so filthy that you wanna take a shower every waking moment that you spend on making this song....Ok maybe not THAT dirty, but you get the idea.

jpbear responds:

Specify what "dirty" means. This song is already too fuzzy/muddy as it is. Your review practically demands that this remix be "better" than the original, when this song is made by an amteur and is free to download and is unsigned.

Ok you prefer the original, so do I. Give me skrillex' paycheck and ill fix this up for you.

Your suppsoed to rate me on the NG scale not the "derp i liek skrillex more than this amateur" scale.

The perfect contrast.

I really wanna give it a 9.5, but I can't give it a 10.

Here's my reasoning:
At the start, the melody just floats around and after the piano kicks in you wait for it to start going down the riff, but instead, the bass drum starts pounding away to the beat. Props for that, I never would have called that. But where it kinda disappointed me was in the drop. It could have been a little more intense, heavier, and a bit more dirty. Props for the acid you snuck in there, though. It blends nicely.

But I really just can't get enough of that melody. It's absolutely gorgeous, I would have loved to see this fully developed in one of your techno tracks, but this is just as wonderful.

I'd have to say my favorite part of this track was that stretch at 2:18. I just love it! I would have to say that the piano outro comes to a close second, though.

This is good stuff, man. Keep making stuff like this and you're bound to go far with it. :)

You make music like a boss.

I'm not going to lie, I prefer the simplicity of Heaven Rd. 2 to this. But leaving that aspect out of it, this is an incredible track. Love it to the threshold of my hearing.
